Position Details:

  • Compensation: $29.50 per hour
  • Work schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 6 PM to 4 AM
  • Overnight travel to domiciles (10%) is required.

Position Purpose:
As a Logistics Delivery Specialist, you will play a vital role in our country's food supply chain. You will ensure that customer products arrive on time and in excellent condition, while also representing our company and building lasting relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all necessary safety checks (e.g., pre/post trip inspections) of your vehicle to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and ensure company safety standards.
  • Report safety issues and necessary repairs promptly. Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company driving safety guidelines.
  • Immediately address safety hazards and ensure all freight is securely loaded.
  • Perform count checks and confirm customer invoices for accuracy.
  • Complete all required documentation regarding freight clearly and accurately.
  • Move truck to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer as needed.
  • Drive to deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route schedule.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them into designated storage areas of the customer.
  • Check for damages, scan items, and report any issues according to company policy.
  • Verify delivery with the customer and obtain necessary signatures. Collect payments where required and secure the trailer's doors.
  • Ensure that all vehicles and freight are always secured.
  • Unload damaged goods and completed customer returns, and handle necessary paperwork promptly.
  • Maintain a daily record of hours of service and enter this into logs as required by Federal DOT, state, and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • At least 6 months of commercial driving experience.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass a road test.
  • Possess a valid DOT Health Card or the ability to secure one.
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases that may weigh between 10-90 pounds depending on the location.
