The opportunity

Delaware North Travel is searching for a full‑time Accounting Clerk to join our team at Boise Airport in Boise, Idaho. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. You will also collaborate with team members to prepare weekly and monthly operating results. On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US‑based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of the Areas. What will you do?

  • Reconcile daily cash, process deposits and maintain change with a safe or cash recycler
  • Analyze cash deposits for over/short notification
  • Prepare, verify and process Accounts Payable invoices
  • Maintain Vendor profile
  • Act as a liaison between departments and vendors to ensure payments are accurate and timely
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers, and pursue collection
  • Prepare and distribute AR Aging report
  • Prepare journal entries for month‑end close
  • File and maintain accounting records and reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

More About You

  • Associate's degree in accounting or 3 years equivalent experience
  • Must be willing and able to pass a pre‑employment credit and criminal background check
  • Working knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting process
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, energy and professionalism; trustworthy, respectful and demonstrates sound work ethics
  • Above average usage of Microsoft Office package including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to understand and follow complex instructions and technical or legal terminology
  • Strong guest service orientation
  • Analytical, with excellent problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit in front of a computer
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for cash handling and typing duties
  • Visual acuity sufficient to see and distinguish required reports and computer system
  • Occasional bending, reaching, climbing on step stool, lifting
  • Must be able to walk throughout airport terminals, on occasions
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
