The Division of Financial Management (DFM) is part of the Executive Office of the Governor. Its primary function is to assist the Governor in his duties as the Chief Budget Officer of the State. DFM works closely with the rest of state government to provide fiscal and policy guidance, oversight, and management services on behalf of the Governor. The agency is seeking a Financial Specialist to join the team.
To perform various professional financial duties requiring application of accounting, auditing, and/or budgeting theory, principles, and practices; perform related work.
Good knowledge of: Accounting principles and practices Typically gained by the successful completion of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or another closely related field PLUS at least two (2) years of work experience in accounting applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); OR at least four (4) years of experience in the area listed above.
This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
