The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Rental Dispatcher at their Meridian branch and look to find an enthusiastic candidate to round out the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Inventory: Responsible for scheduling drivers and organizing the daily dispatch of all equipment for the Branch on a normal and emergency basis. Determines equipment availability for rentals and performs inventory control processes.
  • Customer Relations: Maintains customer relations via phone and email, and making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location. Establish new rental and sales accounts by providing exceptional customer service to call-in and walk-in customers.
  • Document Maintenance: Ensures accuracy of rental contract information, monitor and maintain minimum insurance requirements, and Processes rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitors equipment for damage and ensures that equipment is delivered to and received from customers in good working order. Monitors hours and schedules preventative maintenance with Service Department.
  • Cash Management: Follows proper credit policies and cash accounts procedures. Files preliminary lien notices as required per company policy.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Must be able to demonstrate understanding of the equipment rental business, understanding of rental software and the ability to follow operational procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with software, computers, and office equipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact clearly with all levels of the organization. Demonstrate occupational professionalism when dealing with customers and sales staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience: Previous dispatch and customer service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry. Knowledge of John Deere equipment and competitors.
Physical Requirements
  • Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Physical Conditions: Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
