Sr. Director, Business Development – Cloud Memory

This role is tightly coupled to the company vision to drive Micron's transformation of cloud memory and influence industry trends. As a Business Development Leader, you will be responsible for leading the team tasked with building and executing the business plan for memory products at our key hyperscale customers.

Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of business plans and rapid response to customer needs. Champion customer-centric innovation by bridging internal silos and orchestrating joint initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Set Strategic Vision and Direction: Define and champion the long‑term strategy for Micron's cloud memory business, ensuring alignment with the company's vision to transform information into intelligence and enrich life globally.
- Lead High‑Performing Global Teams: Inspire, develop, and empower a diverse, cross‑functional business development organization, fostering collaboration across organizations and geographies to deliver seamless execution and rapid response to hyperscale customer needs.
- Architect and Execute Business Plans: Develop and operationalize robust 3‑5 year strategic business plans focused on revenue growth, volume expansion, and profit optimization for key hyperscale customers and memory product lines (DDR, LPDDR, GDDR).
- Customer Centric Success: Forge deep partnerships with hyperscale customers, acting as their strategic advisor and advocate. Ensure Micron's product roadmaps are tightly aligned with customer requirements through close collaboration with product management and engineering.
- Lead Go‑to‑Market Strategy: Oversee the development of compelling go‑to‑market plans and collateral, positioning Micron's memory solutions as industry‑leading offerings.
- Orchestrate Business and Technical Reviews: Lead quarterly business and technical reviews, ensuring customer feedback directly informs product and business strategy, and drives continuous improvement.
- Optimize Demand and Market Planning: Direct demand forecasting and total addressable market (TAM) planning for cloud customers, partnering with operations to align manufacturing and supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Champion Customer Satisfaction and Results: Collaborate with Sales and Operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive superior business outcomes.
- Establish Thought Leadership: Lead co‑marketing initiatives with strategic partners to position Micron as a thought leader in cloud memory, influencing industry trends and shaping market perceptions.
- Monitor Industry and Competitive Landscape: Continuously assess industry developments and competitor actions to inform business strategy, identify new growth opportunities, and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or other technical field
- Bachelor's/Master's in Business Administration highly preferred
- At least 10 years experience in data center‑related field with customer experience
- At least 10 years experience leading and building high‑performing teams
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full‑time position is: $202,000.00 - $389,000.00. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
