Senior Procurement Specialist – Responsibilities
- Prepares and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements as required; receives, analyzes, and recommends approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.
- Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures established by Rosendin.
- Assists departments with specification development, drafts RFP.
- Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed.
- Reviews, analyzes, researches and approves purchases of a non-competitive nature.
- Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.
- Plans all aspects of purchasing from project award to closeout.
- Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers and professional service providers.
- Oversee execution of the purchasing buy‑out.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Collaborate with estimating management, design professionals, and site management.
- Provide feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
- Enforce procurement policies and procedures to project team.
- Support projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules, and project purchasing reporting.
- Develop and review all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
- Provide supervision to buyer / expeditor when necessary.

What You'll Need to be Successful
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
- Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must exhibit supervisory skills.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Self‑motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
What You Bring to Us
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years electrical construction purchasing experience.
- Combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Working Conditions
- General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
