Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable network solutions for offices, data centers and cloud-based solutions that function across the firm's hybrid environment.
- Lead SD-WAN deployments and optimize segmentation and routing.
- Develop automations to improve team workflows and create flexible, scalable solutions.
- Manage Catalyst Center for automation, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Integrate Azure networking into hybrid enterprise designs.
- Act as escalation point for complex incidents.
- Team collaboration, transparent communications, and the ability to discuss complex technical concepts with technically-minded peers as well as non-technical stakeholders.
Travel: This position may require travel.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Strong Cisco DS-WAN engineering experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and methods for implementation in hybrid environments.
- Develop documentation that defines solution architecture and supports operational aspects of solutions.
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols and Cisco switching solutions in a multi-site, distributed computing environment.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and if necessary, write a summary of the appropriate factors that should be considered when assessing the viability of the technology in the Perkins environment and in applying the technology more generically.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation/ orchestration (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow CMDB, Incident/Change).
- Knowledge of load balancing, QoS, and high availability design.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Seven-plus years of enterprise networking experience.
- Cisco CCNP, Microsoft Azure AZ-700 certification or equivalent experience.

The listed compensation ranges reflect typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
Colorado compensation range: $106,010 to $166,900 annually
Illinois compensation range: $111,890 to $176,150 annually
Washington, D.C. compensation range: $120,780 to $190,140 annually
Washington state compensation range: $111,830 to $176,060 annually
