Description
The Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) protects consumers and ensures public safety by regulating over 250,000 licensees across more than 44 Boards and Commissions in Idaho.
The Investigations Support Specialist Supervisor will oversee investigative support activities, ensuring compliance, quality, and operational efficiency to safeguard Idahoans.
Example of Duties
- Managing intake and triage of complaints and referrals
- Conducting preliminary research and data collection
- Drafting correspondence and reports
- Maintaining case files and databases
- Managing disciplinary action compliance and contested cases
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and legal standards
The Supervisor Position Will Provide
- Operational Oversight: ensuring support staff align with investigative priorities and deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: reviewing work products to improve accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Staff Development: onboarding, training, and professional development tailored to investigative support.
- Workload Management: equitable distribution of tasks and timely response to urgent matters.
- Strategic Alignment: serving as liaison between support staff and investigative leadership.
Responsibilities Of The Supervisor
- Direct supervision of Investigations Support Specialists
- Assignment and prioritization of support tasks
- Quality control of documentation, data entry, and correspondence
- Development and implementation of standard operating procedures
- Performance appraisals and coaching
- Coordination with Investigations Program Manager and investigative staff
- Oversight of case management and data integrity
- Support for special projects and audits
Minimum Qualifications
- Some knowledge of management practices; program or project planning and implementation.
- Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualification Specialties
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Good knowledge of state and federal laws regarding confidentiality and safeguarding of information.
- Using computer systems, software, and databases for information entry and retrieval.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervising staff; providing customer service; leading or facilitating teams or groups.
- Compiling and analyzing information and/or data and writing reports and/or correspondence in a work setting.
- Experience developing and evaluating policies, procedures, training, and presentation materials.
