Job Description
Oracle Health is seeking a Principal Consultant with a strong background in Oracle Health Millennium (formerly Cerner Millennium) to join our federal Edge & Analytics team. In this role, you will oversee the sustainment arm of our federal data syndication operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure ongoing reliability, compliance, and high performance of our data syndication pipelines supporting critical federal customer needs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, drive operational excellence, and support the secure delivery and maintenance of complex data flows. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our healthcare technology initiatives aimed at improving the lives of active-duty service members and veterans.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainment Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations and health of data syndication process, ensuring consistent, reliable, and secure data delivery for federal customers.
Incident Response & Issue Resolution: Monitor system performance, identify anomalies or disruptions, and quickly respond to operational incidents-driving timely root cause analysis and resolution.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Execute regular audits, validation, and reconciliation of syndicated data to maintain accuracy and integrity.
Process Documentation & Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain clear documentation for operational procedures, incident records, and support troubleshooting guides to ensure ongoing continuity and knowledge transfer.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline sustainment processes, reduce manual effort, and increase system efficiency by recommending and assisting with automation and tooling enhancements.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for sustainment-related inquiries; provide timely updates on incident status, planned maintenance, and process improvements to internal stakeholders.
Stakeholder Training & Education: Develop and deliver training sessions, guides, and materials to help analysts and other data consumers understand Millennium data structure, content, and best practices for effective data utilization.
Security and Privacy Adherence: Follow and promote best practices for federal data security and privacy throughout all sustainment activities.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
4+ years of experience in data operations, system support, or data engineering-preferably in a federal or highly regulated environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder training abilities
Strong understanding of the Millennium data model.
Broad knowledge working with multiple Oracle Health (Millennium) products.
Ability to work independently and provide oversight and direction to others on the team.
Due to contract requirements the role requires you to be a US Citizen.
Must be able to receive a favorable security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with development in PL/SQL, Python, PowerShell. Linux, Oracle Health Data Intelligence (formerly HealtheAnaltyics EDW), and/or Discern Analytics 2.0 (DA2)
Experience with Oracle Golden Gate technology.
Familiarity with development in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment.
Experience working with federal government customers.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
