As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure atmosphere, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. This position is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Perform access control duties to help manage entry and exit points at the location, verifying credentials and providing guidance to authorized personnel and visitors.
• Deliver customer service by following site-specific policies and security-related procedures, responding to inquiries, and assisting guests as needed.
• Respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
• Document observations and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual situations according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
