Become the Pharmacy Director You Aspire to Be

• Communicate the hospital's mission to pharmacy staff, motivating and holding them accountable for their performance while fostering their development.
• Manage the operations of the pharmacy department including scheduling, ongoing evaluation, and implementing improvements for optimal performance.
• Deliver direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
• Exhibit expertise in clinical health system pharmacy practices, including antimicrobial stewardship, drug preparation, controlled substances management, and medication safety.
• Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and medication management, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Stay updated on new medications and evidence-based practices; collaborate with management on departmental budget preparation and oversight.
• Take an active role in hospital committees such as Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, and Safety.

Qualifications

• Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board.
• Successful completion of an accredited pharmacy program.
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
