Location

This job is located in Boise, ID. Must be willing to relocate if outside of this area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project's sprinkler system
  • Use analytical thinking and problem solving to determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities
  • Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar programs
  • Create stock list for all material required throughout the project
  • Perform hydraulic calculations
  • Develop initial schedules for preliminary project work
  • Maintain design and historical records for future use
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper handover of job information
  • Ensure change orders/change estimates are completed in a timely manner
  • Monitor project billings for accuracy and maintain positive cash flow
  • Assist or lead during field check stages
  • Ensure work complies with codes and permits
  • Administer construction contracts, approve work quality and payment requests
  • Report to owner and general contractor about progress and any necessary modifications

Job Qualifications

  • NICET certification required. Either "In Training", or NICET Level I, II, III, or IV certified
  • Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or other fire sprinkler layout software
  • Proven ability to perform work in a timely manner and meet deadlines
  • Three years of construction industry experience with knowledge of Fire Protection
  • Three years' experience in commercial, industrial, and residential design
  • Detail-oriented with ability to coordinate and work with others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
  • Must be willing to relocate to Boise, ID if not already located in the area
