Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for all aspects of the hospitals daily operations.


• Ensure compliance with all applicable Medicare, Medicaid, state, county, and federal regulations, including CMS Conditions of Participation and Joint Commission standards.


• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to support patient safety, staff efficiency, and regulatory compliance.


• Oversee census management, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure quality and cost?effective service delivery.


• Monitor operational and financial performance; identify and implement performance improvement initiatives.


• Analyze and interpret operational data, financial reports, and regulatory documents.


• Manage and develop hospital staff; promote teamwork, professional growth, and accountability.


• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing to ensure adherence to clinical standards of care.


• Lead and/or participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and compliance initiatives.


• Participate in the Senior Leadership team to ensure communication of compliance issues.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in hospital/business/healthcare administration OR experience in behavioral health, social work, health sciences, public administration, or human service administration.


• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare of behavioral health.


• Experience with regulatory agencies such as Department of Health and Human Services, Medicare, and Joint Commission Certification.


• Working knowledge of inpatient psychiatric facility operations, community mental health systems, and applicable state and federal regulations.


• Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and interpret financial and legal documents.


• Successful completion of a criminal+ background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in mental health, health care administration, or business administration OR Clinical Psychology PhD/PsyD.


• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric treatment facility.
