Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level LSS / Fire Protection Engineer for assignment in Boise, Idaho. The selected candidate will work on projects that include state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. This position is on-site. This position has a pay rate of $40 – $60/hr. This position requires an Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT).

Responsibilities

• Perform regular field walks
• Attend project meetings
• Develop I&C drawings
• Construction specifications
• Specify instruments
• Write sequences of operations
• Review vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
• Produce process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), designs for electrical circuits and panels, control panel drawings and wiring diagrams

Qualifications

• Bachelorrom Electrical, Fire Protection, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• An Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT)
• 4 years experience working with Instrumentation and Controls or Life Safety Systems / Fire Protection
• Working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens), DCS and other controls applications
• Ability to generate complete I&C / LSS design packages (e.g. P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is a plus
