Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work of the power design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
  • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule
  • Conduct site work sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Review project documents for conflicts with other disciplines
  • Write and edit project specifications
  • Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, change orders, and incorporate changes into project documents
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed
  • Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators or Designers, or BIM Technicians as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering
  • 6+ years of detailed electrical design experience
  • Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm and hydropower generation is highly preferred
  • Experience with data analysis software related to electrical engineering is preferred
  • Experience with software such as SKM PowerTools for Windows, EasyPower, Matlab, and Visual Basic

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit)
  • Active participation in an employee-owned culture
