Special Education Teacher Alternative Education Setting
 2025/2026 School Year
 
 Emmett School District has an Opening for a Resource / Tier Three Special Education Teacher who has experience in providing instruction and services in a Resource Room Setting and supporting students in their General Education classes. This position will be working with students in an alternative education setting (The Patriot Center and True North). 
 Opitimally, we would like to fill this full time positons, Part time applicants will be consdiered. 
 
 Looking for an Educator who has experience providing specialized instruction and interventions to students who have disabilities and the learning characteristics associated with disabilities including, but not limited to, Specific Learning disabilities in Reading and. or Math, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD, Developmental disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disability, trauma/neglect/abuse issues, etc. for grades 4-12. Teachers with strong knowledge and experience in Resource Room instruction and Behavior Intervention are strongly recommended to apply. 
 
 Position Purpose
 Assess student needs and provide specially designed instruction to students identified as eligible for special education instructional services to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their social, emotional, and academic development. Ability to establish and maintain a favorable working and learning atmosphere. Knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies, procedures, and state and federal statutes. Knowledge of technology as it relates to education. Maintain confidentiality related to agency, district, students, and family information. Demonstrated sensitivity and respect for diversity.
