Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health assessments or essential diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab analysis, and ensuring that all procedures are performed safely, efficiently, and with compassion. The PSR I plays a key part in creating a welcoming, professional, and confident experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established standards.
Maintain required documentation and records with precision.
Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Uphold confidentiality and accuracy with patient information.
Adapt to flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.
Required Experience:
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
Experience in customer service, preferably in retail or healthcare settings.
Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Required Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with lab safety procedures and patient identification protocols.
Adaptability in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Additional Skills
