About Us: Guerdon is the leading manufacturer of large-scale, commercial modular construction projects in the Western US and Canada. With our factory and corporate office located in Boise, Idaho we serve 10 western states including California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming as well as Canada.

Overview: Guerdon is seeking a Project Estimator. The position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of construction cost estimates. Other duties will include assisting in defining construction contract documents, costing process improvements, and calculating actual project related costs.

Responsibilities/Learned skills will include:

• Read architectural and related drawings and specifications to gain understanding of the scope of work for assigned projects.
• Preparation of detailed estimates on a line-item basis, using the company's pre-established estimate format and software platform.
• Coordinates with the project team (including Project Management, Business Development, Purchasing, and Management) to provide support to an assigned project lifecycle.
• Review and compile actual costs related to assigned projects as they are produced in the plant. Perform variance analysis of actual vs estimate costs and report results to Management.
• Periodically review costing estimates for continued accuracy to current costs and build standards.
• The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to those stated above.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, or demonstrated equivalent.
• 2 years experience developing accurate conceptual through detailed cost estimates.
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Candidate must be able to work efficiently in team situations and establish strong working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, general contractors and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK, etc.).
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop kneel.
• Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
• Ability to work in shared space.
