The Winter Parking Lot Attendant supports building maintenance operations and enhances the guest experience at Bogus Basin. This seasonal role ensures safe, accessible, and welcoming parking areas for all visitors.

How You'll Make a Difference
As a Winter Parking Lot Attendant, you will enhance guest experiences, maintain safe and accessible parking areas, and assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance. You will interact with guests, answer questions, and provide support to operations staff.
A Day in the Life
You'll begin your day inspecting parking lots and surrounding areas. Throughout your shift, you'll direct traffic, maintain lots free of snow and debris, assist with garbage pick-up, answer guest questions, and report unsafe conditions. By the end of your day, you'll have contributed to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Enhance the guest experience by directing traffic and ticketing vehicles in violation of parking regulations.
- Assist guests with questions or problems; escalate to supervisors or managers when needed.
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude toward guests and staff.
Operational Support - Maintain parking lots and areas around lodges, keeping them free of snow and trash.
- Assist in grounds maintenance, including snow removal and garbage pick-up.
- Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting unsafe situations.
- Assist in mountain rescue efforts if necessary.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
What You Bring - Passion for Bogus Basin's mission.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner, with or without supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds above shoulder level.
- Frequently required to stand, balance, walk, climb, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Manual dexterity to perform basic functions.
Working Conditions - Indoor and outdoor environment; majority of time spent outdoors.
- Exposed to inclement weather and adverse conditions.
- Vibration and noise are present in the work environment.
- Seasonal, part-time position requiring weekends and holidays.
Personal Appearance When in the public eye, personal appearance is an important part of the guest experience. In addition to the uniform shirt, employees should provide:
- Jacket or clothing for inclement weather.
- Hat or sun protection and suitable eyewear.
