Base pay range
$190,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr
A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Litigation Counsel to join its fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity for attorneys who enjoy managing substantive legal matters with less emphasis on in-person litigation and business development. Youll handle a wide range of employment law cases while working collaboratively with partners and colleagues across the firm. This position is ideal for a proactive, self-driven attorney seeking flexibility, meaningful work, and a sustainable workload with reduced billable hour requirements.
Employment Litigation Counsel Responsibilities
- Manage administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation for firm clients, including those with EPLI
- Focus on the tactical aspects of cases with limited in-person hearings, depositions, or trials
- Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings, prepare persuasive motions, and handle depositions
- Collaborate with multiple partners and teams on diverse and complex employment law matters
- Litigate restrictive covenant and trade secret matters, including motions for injunctive relief and expedited discovery
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on day-to-day employment issues and compliance strategies
Employment Litigation Counsel Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Active state bar admission
- 57 years of employment law and litigation experience
- Strong experience handling restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, including injunctive relief and expedited discovery
- Comfortable managing cases independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with computer forensics, e-discovery, and data privacy issues is a plus
- Prior law firm experience is a plus
- Experience handling cases involving EPLI is preferred
- Bar admission in California is highly preferred
