LotusWorks is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Construction Manager to lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of complex control and automation systems at a cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing site in Boise, Idaho. This role is responsible for managing construction execution, contractor oversight, and quality/safety performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field construction activities for I&C systems, including installation of instrumentation, PLC/DCS systems, sensors, analyzers, and control panels.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and craft labor to ensure work is performed per drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate construction sequencing and system tie-ins with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with SEMICON industry standards, site procedures, and client specifications.
  • Review P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control wiring schematics to verify proper installation and configuration.
  • Lead daily/weekly construction meetings, track progress, and escalate schedule or quality concerns as needed.
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, red-line markups, and turnover packages for commissioning.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety programs, LOTO procedures, and site EHS standards.
  • Interface with project management, engineering, and operations teams to align construction milestones with project goals.
  • Support commissioning and startup teams during system turnover and functional performance testing.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
  • 7+ years of construction management experience with a focus on I&C systems in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, PLC/DCS systems, building automation, and facility process control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical/control schematics, and I&C design documents.
  • Proven track record managing subcontractors, cost control, and construction schedules.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, and semiconductor safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
