Heavy Civil & Excavation Project Manager

LaRiviere, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee projects in our excavation division in Boise, Idaho. Candidates must have experience with heavy civil work, including roads, bridges, and water & sewer installations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including roads, bridges, site work, and utilities.
• Coordinate project scopes with estimators before contract signing.
• Manage subcontract processes from receipt to execution, ensuring scope and proposals match.
• Oversee project buyouts, procurement, and initial setup in system software.
• Create and maintain project schedules, updating progress and delays.
• Conduct preconstruction and weekly onsite meetings with project teams.
• Perform site walks for quality control and scope verification.
• Handle change orders, invoice reviews, and project budgeting.
• Assist with bidding and project takeoffs.
• Promote company culture through ethical behavior and open communication.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service standards are met.
• Support company growth by helping find new projects.

Work Environment:

• Read blueprints and technical reports.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
• Perform physical activities including lifting, climbing stairs, and walking on job sites.
• Maintain visual acuity for reading documents.
• Sit, stand, bend, and reach as required during work activities.
