Asset Management Analyst

Seeking an Asset Management Analyst to support a portfolio of hotel assets for a dynamic and growing real estate investment firm. We are looking for a highly motivated, analytically driven Hotel Asset Management Analyst to support the performance of a growing portfolio of hotel investments. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Head of Asset Management, the analyst will play a key role in portfolio management, business intelligence and reporting, conducting market and financial analysis, supporting strategic initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders internally and externally to optimize asset value. This position can either be based at our Headquarters office in Cleveland, or remote in a city with access to a major airport. If remote, travel will be required up to 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Management: Monitor financial and operational performance of hotel assets through P&L reviews, market analysis, benchmarking, and guest/quality scores.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain models (DCF, ROI, IRR, etc.) to evaluate hotel performance, capital planning, and value enhancement strategies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with operators to review annual budgets, multi-year capital plans, reforecasts, and strategic business plans.
  • Capital Projects: Track and evaluate capex initiatives and renovation ROI to ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Reporting & Business Intelligence: Prepare regular asset reports, dashboards, and presentations for investors and leadership; help implement tools to automate reporting and analysis.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with operators, brands, lenders, consultants, and internal teams to support ownership objectives.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and macroeconomic conditions to inform decisions.
  • Technology Support: Assist with implementation and training of BI, FP&A, operations, revenue, and capital management systems.
  • Underwriting: Support acquisition, renovation, and disposition underwriting (=25% of role).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of hotel asset management, acquisitions, or hospitality consulting experience.
  • Strong financial modeling (Excel) and P&L analysis skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills (PowerPoint).
  • Experience with hospitality BI and financial tools (e.g., Singlepane, ProfitSword, M3). Familiarity with hotel operations, PMS, POS, LMS, revenue, and capital systems is a plus.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities; travel up to 50% including monthly office weeks in Cleveland and property/industry visits.
