Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is looking for a Lead Inventory Planner!Location: Parkcenter Blvd, Boise, IDDepartment: BuyingPosition: Exempt/SalariedJob Type: Full Time / Non-RemoteWhat You Will Do Analyze sales trends and work hand-in-hand with Buyers to flow inventory to distribution centers to maximize sales in retail and online by: Creating and maintaining reporting on stock and PO statuses to ensure vendors are meeting timelines. Building out and integrating an open-to-buy budget with focus on categories and vender budgets segmented into month, quarter, and year. Partnering with the Buying team to forecast new products to ensure timely new product launches. Tracking store samples in partnership with Visual and Retail stores accordingly. Managing and leading the ordering process, with accurate forecasting for monthly orders and 6 month rolling forecasts. Manage delivery times of vendors, including internal stakeholders and take corrective actions to minimize out-of-stock and overstock inventory including and not limited to: Craft strong relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with terms of contracts. Work with Buying and Retail teams on liquidation and promotional strategies to work through obsolete and overstocked inventory on a regular basis to balance on-hand inventory with the desired company margin goals. Partner with Logistics and Warehouses to coordinate shipments and ensure proper receiving of stock. Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure all orders include necessary parts. Oversee Inventory Planners on weekly forecasts to eliminate out of stocks and optimize inventory levels. Evaluate and make recommendations on stock level adjustments at the Retail and Distribution Center levels to optimize sales and minimize inventory spending. Responsible for ordering process, accurate forecasting, both monthly and 6 month rolling forecasts. Provide monthly updates to stakeholders on inventory levels, out of stocks, on-time shipments by vender. Partner with various departments on product feedback and inventory levels ranging from Marketing, Accounting, Operations, eCommerce, Distribution Centers, Showrooms, Logistics, Customer Experience etc., and the executive team on strategic imperatives for the business. Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.Who You Are Experience as an Inventory Analyst, Inventory Planner or relevant role controlling inventory in a strategic way to strengthen and improve the business. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills and management experience preferred. Have the versatility to handle many on-going projects simultaneously. Excel in: Negotiating prices and terms and conditions with the company's best interest in mind. Supporting a team and with strong self-initiative, able to work independently, collaboratively with vendors and DCs and able to meet tight deadlines. Microsoft Office: Advanced knowledge and skills with Word and Excel. Actively work to find solutions for problems and streamline processes to optimize workflow. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders and other members of the organization when needed. Familiarity with working Open-to-Buy plans highly preferred. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations.
