Within the Human Resources Division, the Senior Compensation Specialist provides professional guidance, coordination, and support in the effective and consistent application of job classification and compensation administration policies and practices. Responsible for all broad-based compensation programs throughout all countries in which Simplot operates. Works closely with Business Leadership, Finance, and HR to ensure compensation plans are in alignment with the company's values and strategies and in line with current and long-term trends. Administers and maintains various compensation-related data management systems and coordinates and facilitates implementation of corporate-level compensation programs and initiatives. Provides advice, training, and support to HR consultants and the Simplot community, as appropriate, in the application of compensation management principles, guidelines, procedures, and best practices. Responsible for ongoing research and analysis, assessing budgetary impact of compensation decisions. Provides oversight with regulations and labor laws.
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university
5+ years related experience and/or training

Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation. Knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures. Working knowledge of computerized applications and procedures as applied to compensation management. Knowledge of career development and career laddering concepts, principles, and processes. Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations.
