Summary Statement
The Rink Supervisor acts as the lead at the skate rental counter and assists with a variety of duties as requested to support smooth rink operations. This role requires strong leadership and customer service skills to ensure excellent service and effective team support. The position is open to all individuals aged 18 and older, works up to 19 hours per week, and is designated as At-Will.
Idaho IceWorld, is Idaho's premier indoor family ice skating and entertainment center. We offer adult and youth hockey leagues, figure skating programs, Learn-To-Skate and Learn-To-Play Hockey programs, and public skating sessions.
Essential Functions
Acts as a lead to employees assigned to the skate rental counter. Provides a high level of customer service to customers.
Performs cash handling duties.
Performs regular janitorial duties.
Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
One year experience working with the general public in a customer service type setting.
Knowledge of: basic computer programs; general customer service techniques; basic hockey and figure skating equipment; and ice rink operations.
Ability to: interact with the general public and effectively handle complaints; operate skate sharpening and repair equipment; make simple mathematical calculations; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
