The Position: Club Mass Business Development Sales Director

Position Summary: We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of building sales in consumer-packaged goods. Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate would have 'big company' fundamentals combined with growing brands in an entrepreneurial environment. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue across all channels through strategic plans and promotions. Your responsibilities include managing the brokerage network, making customer presentations, planning assortment decisions, and executing promotions within your geographic region. Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience with a strong consumer packaged goods background and sales fundamentals trained by a large food company.
  • Success in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of retail departments, especially In Store Bakery.
  • Full understanding of the food distributor network and processes.
  • Experience in grocery, mass, natural, club, and private label markets.
  • Proven experience managing multiple broker teams.
  • Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of distribution strategy to meet growth and profitability goals.
  • Oversee sales performance across categories and channels to achieve business plans.
  • Manage broker partners to drive sales execution.
  • Implement trade show strategies and participate in industry events.
  • Develop and maintain marketing programs with customers.
  • Create high-growth sales initiatives.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in growing a sales organization.
  • Knowledge of Challenger Sales fundamentals.
  • Financial skills: Budgeting, Forecasting, P&L management.
  • Deep knowledge of the food industry and grocery aisle.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Strategic thinking at a corporate level.
  • Organizational skills, flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Position based out of home office.
