Highlights:As an MA in the Outpatient Diabetes clinic you will support an NP and work with a wide range of patient population that need longer term care. The Saint Alphonsus team of diabetes educators, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners and physicians provide the guidance and education to our patients that they need to manage the disease successfully. The team will provide ongoing support and an individualized treatment plan that is carefully tailored to the needs of our patients and their families. What You Will Do:In addition to typical MA duties, you will also conduct point of care testing, complete prior authorizations, task inbox, and answer and return patient calls. You will also oversee the patient assistance medication program including providing applications to qualifying patients, processing the applications and sending them to the pharmaceutical companies and then tracking the approved patients and receiving the medication refills samples.
