Job Description

BME Fire Trucks is seeking an experienced Material Handler to be part of our Inventory Team. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can manage material movement efficiently, maintain organized inventory areas, and support production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Material Handler you will be responsible for:

  • Picking and staging parts for fabrication work orders and production builds.
  • Moving raw materials and fabricated parts between departments and workstations as needed.
  • Assisting with daily cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock organization.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of inventory areas, racks, and material storage.
  • Communicating effectively with Inventory, Production, and Fab teams to ensure timely part availability.
  • Following all safety protocols when operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Supporting receiving and stocking processes when needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support production schedules and departmental goals.


Requirements

  • Prior warehouse, material handling, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to a safety-first mindset.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist where needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required, push/pull, and stay on feet for the duration of a shift.
  • Can-do attitude and ability to adapt to changing demands.
  • Proficient computer skills
