In the role of Senior Water Project Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of medium to large multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects with high technical complexity, typically exceeding $200K in fees.
  • Leading and supervising teams of engineers and CAD professionals to develop detailed master plans, engineering reports, design criteria, calculations, drawings, specifications, and project cost estimates for water/wastewater projects.
  • Establishing client relations, marketing, acquiring new business, defining project scope and fees, developing schedules, and negotiating contracts.
  • Leading proposal preparations.
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Conducting project development sessions with clients and internal teams, including project managers, technical professionals, and other disciplines.
  • Preparing project management plans, establishing project teams, and assigning responsibilities.
  • Coordinating staffing and workload from project initiation to completion, ensuring projects are on time and within budget.
  • Collaborating with finance and department managers for project reviews.
  • Implementing QA/QC procedures.
  • Providing training to staff as per strategic plans.
  • Supervising project staff and mentoring less experienced project managers.
  • Maintaining professional engineering registration.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills
