Global Procurement proactively manages the entire supplier ecosystem, making a vital contribution to improving health outcomes, reducing costs for patients and global healthcare systems, and ensuring that Roche continues doing now what patients need next.

The Opportunity

This role sits within the Strategy and Solutions Chapter, which encompasses a number of different strategic and innovative teams. Our purpose is to guide strategic priorities, advance value delivery through solutions and digital excellence, govern compliance and drive sustainability to deliver continuous improvement and strengthen Global Procurement's impact on the wider Roche organization.

As a Sr. Market Solutions Manager, you will bring innovation, market expertise and solution development know-how to the Chapter. Utilising your specialised knowledge and in-depth expertise of R&D you will develop and deliver market or supplier driven solutions, services or guidance to solve business problems, realise organisational efficiencies and deliver functional goals.

As the Sr. Market Solutions Manager (Research & Development Solutions) you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general business requirements, including but not limited to these core responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end Market-led solutions for the business: Develop and deliver market and supplier-driven solutions to meet customer needs and business challenges. Seek external market innovation and expertise by leveraging your specialised knowledge, strategic thinking, and ability to convert opportunities into tangible value.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Identify and clarify business customer problem statements/opportunities in collaboration with GP colleagues, and seek opportunities to accelerate value realisation beyond traditional procurement.

  • Delivery tangible value: Prioritise efforts to bring identifiable value in a dynamic global environment. Manage and deliver the portfolio of solutions/projects that realise value beyond traditional procurement approaches.

  • Develop Frameworks and Approaches: Apply, work with and refine solution frameworks, tools, and realisation approach, to deliver value to Roche R&D teams.

  • Advocate and Enable: Advise and lead business stakeholders to bring alignment and co-create solutions, leveraging insights generation, innovation, storytelling, and collaboration.

  • Foster Collaborations: Create and nurture GP and Roche-wide collaborations, promoting cross-functional teams and strategic direction.

Who you are

  • You hold a University degree in business or life science preferred

  • You have a minimum of 7 years experience in procurement, supply chain management, or consulting.

  • A strategic individual with a focus on aligned outcomes, and demonstrated experience delivering strategies, market expertise, and innovation across R&D categories or markets.

  • You are an astute communicator with strong presentation skills and who collaborates with stakeholders to understand needs. You can make decisions and influence others to do the same; you repurpose work and ideas in favor of starting from scratch.

  • You are an enterprise thinker, leveraging business understanding and technical expertise to create solutions for business customers; proactively fostering collaboration across Roche, (including across the procurement network) to connect the dots

  • You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.

  • You are fluent in English to a Business level.
