Develop and complete a comprehensive sourcing and management strategy for a specific category of spend. Manage a team dedicated to this category. Participate in the development of strategies for assigned categories by conducting an assessment of a category current and future needs. Analyze market trends and potential suppliers. Analyze Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and opportunities to use changes in processes, systems and product/services, and estimating timing and level of savings capture. Implement each category strategy by establishing site-specific implementation timing. Identify required implementation resources and develop communication channels and tools to introduce the new strategy. Develop and lead cross functional teams to complete strategy. Ensure department compliance to company policies and departmental procedures. Provide leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of functional teams and projects, and mentor functional leaders through teamwork and the development of sustainably successful solutions. Responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, aligning team and individual goals to business objectives, and driving overall dedication within your team and the department. Position requires international travel.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Category Supplier-related occupation.
Position requires:
1. All processes in semiconductor manufacturing, including Photo, Etch, CVD, Diffusion, CMP, Wet, PVD, Implant, RDA & Metro;
2. Reviewing complex business situations and analyzing market trends;
3. Category strategy, including developing and implementing equipment strategy, drive cost reduction activities;
4. Applying process and equipment requirements to drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis;
5. High Volume Manufacturing and Technology Development Operation to ensure smooth transition from RnD to HVM;
6. Leading cross functional teams in supplier & equipment selection, handling escalation from all High volume manufacturing sites.
