Linux System Administrator Compensation

• The pay for this position is $40.00 per hour

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Linux System Administrator Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

• The required availability for this position is full-time, Monday???Friday, onsite in Boise, ID

Linux System Administrator Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade internal Linux hardware/software systems used in engineering development

• Support Red Hat Linux environments, focusing on installations (70%) and break-fix (30%)

• Provide technical support and direction to engineering design teams

• Provision systems (physical and virtual) and ensure optimal performance

• Monitor system health with a focus on proactive issue detection

• Automate system builds and changes using scripting tools like Shell or Python

• Drive configuration management through Puppet and support its deployment

• Propose and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance

• Train personnel on system usage and collaborate effectively with internal teams

Linux System Administrator Requirements

• 3???5 years of Red Hat Linux system administration experience (preferred but not required)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with installations, break-fix tasks, and system provisioning

• Scripting/programming knowledge in Shell or Python

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work 100% onsite, five days a week in Boise, ID

• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Linux System Administrator Preferred Qualifications

• Puppet experience (preferred but not required)

• Willingness to undergo cross-training on Puppet

• No bachelor???s degree required ??? equivalent professional experience is acceptable
