The Security Manager is responsible and accountable for the operation of the Security department. Ensures the physical security and safety aspects of the complex. Manages programs and processes to safeguard the welfare and assets of all guests and team members of Live.

Responsibilities

  1. Aides with the preparation and management of the budget for the security department.
  2. Manages performance of the Security department shift managers, supervisors, EMTs, and officers. Ensures protection and safety of guests and team members.
  3. Manages staffing levels to ensure proper coverage of officers in all areas across all shifts.
  4. Coordinates staff training and may have interviewing, hiring, and performance management responsibilities as directed.
  5. Manages programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  6. Reviews security activities with appropriate department leaders.
  7. Establishes and maintains working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including community involvement.
  8. Meets with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  9. Manages property emergency and disaster plans.
  10. Manages the program to deny underage people access to gaming areas.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in security, investigations, surveillance, and patron/property liability in high-volume environments, with at least 2 years managing people and processes.
  • A four (4) year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other applicable regulatory bodies.

  • Keyboarding 25%
  • Use of stairs and elevators multiple times daily.
  • Extended hours and 24/7 operation availability.
