Position Details:
Position Type: Full Time / Contract-to-Hire
Job Location: Boise, ID with Hybrid flexibility (2 days per week in office plus site visits)

Compensation: $58 - $76/hr, depending on qualifications
Note:This is primarily a hybrid position requiring work from Client's office at least 2 days per week. Successful candidate will need to work onsite in Boise for 50% of the first month, thereafter, reducing to one week onsite per month.
Overview/Summary:
As the Facilities Electrical Engineering Owners Representative, youll support projects at the core of our clients manufacturing operations in Boise, ID. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, youll represent the client by editing specifications and reviewing designs, drawings, and technical documentsproviding clear, actionable feedback. Serving as the electrical lead on a multi-discipline design team, your focus will be on reviewing Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls deliverables developed by others. Responsibilities include overseeing the design of facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage control and communication systems in highly complex industrial environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
At least 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain in State of Idaho.
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) , and IEEE standards
Be well versed in methods to perform voltage drop, arc flash, short circuit current, and load flow calculations, using SKM PTW, EasyPower or similar modeling software.
Be well versed in engineering practices and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware.
Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
Ability to perform site punch walk services.
PreferredQualifications:
At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls design-related deliverables such as P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.
Experience with Instrument specification
Experience with network design, layout and backbone.
Experience with control panel design, including UL508A requirements.
Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Passionate about buildings and construction
Physical Requirements:
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
