SaaS Presales Solution Engineer - Supply Chain Management at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Oracle Government, Defense and Intelligence is looking for a highly experienced SaaS presales Solution Engineer (SE) to provide functional and technical support to Federal customers with a focus on Supply Chain Management. Typical job activities include: developing and delivering high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations; presenting and articulating advanced product features, benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions; close collaboration with the product development organization; acting as a functional expert for less experienced SEs; and developing trusted advisor relationships with critical stakeholders to expand our base of referenceable customers. This is a remote position with a preference for a candidate based in the Washington, DC area. Overview: + This is a full time, strategic, presales consulting role working with SCM decision makers, and users who are evaluating various Oracle solutions for their technology and applications needs. + The right person must be able to effectively communicate and engage with potential customers regarding business challenges, to recommend Oracle's SCM Cloud based solutions. + Extensive software training will be provided as needed + There is a strong preference for candidates in the Washington, DC area Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities As an Oracle Presales SE, you will partner directly with the sales team to present and sell Oracle SCM Cloud solutions to our customers. This is not a quota carrying sales role and does not involve any outbound or inbound sales prospecting, however, it does involve the ability to influence decision makers regarding their business applications, and the ability to act as an Oracle advocate during client interactions. + The best solutions consultants have joined us from a variety of backgrounds - operations practitioners (industry users); systems integrators; pre and post sales consulting; trainers of Oracle's SCM products; business analysts; users of Oracle's on-premise applications + You will have the opportunity to partner with customers to help solve real world business problems + Be the expert for Oracle's Best-in-Class Enterprise SCM solutions + Strong understanding of all aspects of Supply Chain desired; spanning Procurement and Order Management, Manufacturing and Distribution, Supply and Demand Planning, Logistics and Warehouse Management, as well as Maintenance, and other modern Supply Chain concepts such as Internet of Things and Innovation Management + This is a virtual position working remotely from a home office, with travel required for client presentations. Description As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers, while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will act as a functional resource and mentor for less experienced SEs. You will get to engage in large and complex sales opportunities that need creative solutions. You will develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. This work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in your area of specialization. We look for at least 7 years of experience with business applications in the SCM space. Other skills and experience that will prove useful include: + Demonstrated project management skills. + Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. + Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.
