Growing Manufacturer in Butte, MT - Director of Operations

We are seeking a Director of Operations for a growing manufacturing company in Butte, MT. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will oversee production schedules aligned with management and client requirements. Responsibilities include managing manpower allocation, adhering to budget constraints, and maintaining order and cohesion amid workload fluctuations and new project integrations. Exceptional multi-project management, communication, team building, supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in high-technology product manufacturing environments.
  • Experience as an innovative technical manager in a small industrial equipment manufacturing setting.
  • Successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and ability to integrate them into manufacturing processes.
  • Quick learner with the capability to implement new technological concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations, overseeing Production Managers, Quality, Engineering, EH&S, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Implement safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control programs.
  • Adopt innovative processes and technologies to maximize efficiency.
  • Forecast and allocate resources to support business growth.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with company goals.
  • Design and maintain an effective organizational structure.
  • Lead change management initiatives and promote employee development and technological advancement.
  • Ensure cross-training and skills development across production and support functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of manufacturing and warehouse management experience.
  • Proficiency in MRP, ERP, inventory management, MS Office, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
