Position Title: End User Technical Support
Job Location: 650 W State Street, Boise, ID
Position Type: In-Person Interview, Full-Time, Onsite
Compensation: $25/hour (W2)

Important Notes:

  1. This is a short-term position, funded for 3 months with the potential for extension.
  2. Fully onsite - candidates must be local to Boise, ID.
  3. In-person deskside support experience is required.


Role Overview: This position involves providing technical assistance to computer, system, and phone users across a range of issues, such as email, networking, hardware, software support, and basic system/networking support for end users. The role will involve face-to-face desktop support, phone, and email assistance for users in a Microsoft environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Face-to-Face Support: Provide direct in-person support to end users, addressing issues related to Windows-based machines (Windows 10 & 11), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and phone systems (Cisco-based).
  • Ticketing System: Support users through the internal ticketing system, track, document, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Basic Networking & System Support: Troubleshoot connectivity issues and provide assistance with Active Directory user management, basic networking, and system software support.
Key Requirements:
  • In-Person Technical Support: Experience in providing face-to-face deskside support is mandatory. Remote support experience (via phone/email) is not sufficient for this role.
  • Local Candidates Only: As this is a fully onsite position, only local candidates should be considered.
  • Short-Term Commitment: The role is initially funded for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on need and budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience providing desktop support in a Windows environment (Windows 10 & 11).
  • 2+ years of experience with Active Directory user management.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ticketing systems, networking support, hardware/software installation, and imaging.
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure/Entra AD/M365.
  • Experience working in virtualized environments.
