Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of clients of various sizes and scopes, acting as the primary contact for internal and external clients.
  2. Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects.
  3. Understand and analyze U.S. GAAP rules impacting taxpayers.
  4. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
  5. Provide high-quality tax services and advice to clients.
  6. Assess tax impacts, develop supporting tax arguments, and recommend client strategies.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

  1. Contribute to market and business activities externally while providing leadership and managerial oversight within the team.
  2. Serve as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience supporting alternative investments, with previous experience as a tax manager in a public accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA credentials, or the ability to obtain them within one year of employment.
  • Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:

  • Minimum eight years of experience as a tax senior manager supporting alternative investments.
  • Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, and managing multiple client engagements and teams.
