Position Overview

The Expediting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the timely delivery of materials and equipment required for complex, large-scale capital projects. The role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure all supplier commitments are met and align with project schedules, particularly in high-tech and controlled environment infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Drive supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery of equipment and materials, monitoring critical milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Project Execution Support: Manage expediting efforts across the full procurement lifecycle, from order placement to delivery and site receipt, ensuring alignment with construction and commissioning timelines.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with procurement, engineering, construction, quality, and scheduling teams to resolve issues, minimize risks, and maintain project momentum.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on supplier progress through production plans, fabrication schedules, and delivery forecasts; escalate risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Field Oversight: Conduct supplier visits, when necessary, to verify manufacturing status, expedite production, and support resolution of delays or quality concerns.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders, maintain accurate records, and contribute to project performance reviews.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the refinement of expediting procedures, tools, and best practices to support efficiency and repeatability in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or project controls, with a significant portion of that time supporting large-scale CAPEX projects (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center construction).
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction and manufacturing processes within high-tech or process-driven industries.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to supplier or project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cleanroom construction, tool installation, or advanced technology facilities.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to global supply chains and international suppliers

Per diem: $5,000 per month
