YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

In this role, you'll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here-use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

As the Senior Sales Manager, you are responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities and growing existing accounts to ensure the Rooms revenues and Catering F&B revenues meet or exceed budget. This position ensures our businesses are leaders in overall performance within the market we serve.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Solicit potential clients and promote our business through contacting past customers, relationships with local businesses and other cost-effective activities (such as networking events) with a heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation to create new leads for our businesses.
  • Conduct weekly client site visits to showcase the property and available services. Be a product knowledge expert and creating a strong connection with all clients.
  • Seek information from clients about their business needs and budget guidelines. Provide customized solutions that illustrate how we can meet their needs and fulfill the vision for their event.
  • Negotiate with clients on pricing and value-added solution, prepare contracts and secure customer signatures.
  • Follow-up in a timely manner with potential customers (lead management) providing any requested information concerning bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you and follow-up letters.
  • Coordinate a seamless client turnover with the operations, food & beverage and other various departments to ensure a successful event.
  • Achieve all quantitative sales goals. Provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports documenting sales productivity and sales activities vs. goals.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on booked business periodically to ensure the client's needs are being met. Maintain contact with previous clients to ascertain future business requirements.
  • Analyze business results on a regular basis with management team and make recommendations to improve results as appropriate.
  • Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customer accounts.
  • The Senior Sales Manager will work in conjunction with Director of Sales or direct leader to achieve the hotel's revenue and marketing share goals and will serve as a daily mentor to all other team members.
  • Keep all necessary parties promptly and fully informed of all changes, problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, etc. in an organized and timely manner.

Requirements

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Education
  • Associates, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent skills.
Experience and/or Training
  • Two or more years in leadership sales experience.
Language Skills
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate to managers and employees of the organization as well as vendors and customers.
YOU'LL STAND OUT IF YOU BRING

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Sales or Marketing from a technical college or university.
Experience and/or Training
  • Five + years of sales or other industry experience, preferably in hospitality.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
