Role Overview

As a Lead Engineer focused on the clinical health domain, you will play a key leadership role within our development teams. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll be a software leader delivering educational materials to patients before and after clinical and hospital visits. You will help guide efforts on core platforms, including extending EHR integration capabilities, leading strategic initiatives, and developing strategies to deliver the right content to users at the right time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions that add value and reduce technical debt across systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft optimal solutions aligned with product goals.
  • Support your team in delivering high-quality code with a Test First approach.
  • Break down product requirements into actionable technical tasks.
  • Stay informed on technological trends and product roadmaps to guide development.
  • Support the development of cross-functional business processes.
  • Ensure best practices, cross-team collaboration, and process continuity.
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative culture across global teams.

Experience and Skills

  • Leadership experience, even unofficial, in team settings.
  • Deep experience developing clinical healthcare enterprise solutions.
  • Extensive experience with EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, eClinicalWorks.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and ePHI compliance.
  • Familiarity with the FHIR standard.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL, Git, Unit Testing, RESTful services, messaging & queuing, and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Metadata, Taxonomies, Docker/Containerization, GitLab/GitHub, PostgreSQL.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or related business field, with at least 8 years of IT and solution delivery experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
