Job SummaryFabricate aircraft upholstery, found in VIP class aircraft, to industry standards using tools common to the industry. Recover, re-build, pattern and sew to specifications provided in sketches, drawings or engineering orders for seats, divans, side ledges and other interior soft goods.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreates custom seat patterns and foam for a variety of aircraft and seat modelsSews and covers seats and interior panels using high-end leathers and fabricsCuts foam to conform to seat specificationsCuts and fits, surges and binds carpets within the aircraft as requiredAssist team members with removal and installation of interior components of the aircraft>Qualifications & Job RequirementsAbility to work from written and verbal instructions Ability to document work performed in computer systemDetail oriented with the ability to follow instructionsWillingness and ability to adjust work processes to provide level of required detail and quality.Strong ability to multi-task effectivelyAbility to work individually, with a healthy sense of urgency to provide a quality productOther PrerequisitesPass pre-employment drug screen and background checkAbility to obtain Airport Issued security badge >Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
