Pay Range

The target pay range for this position is $125,700.00-$153,600.00 annually. The full pay range is $97,400.00 - $181,800.00 annually. Compensation decisions are based on skills, experience, and education. If an offer is made, individual qualifications will be considered. In addition to salary, performance-based incentives are available, with targets varying by role.

Candidates must be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. WA candidates near Tukwila are requested to come into HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Remote work is available for those outside the commute area or in approved remote locations. We ensure full engagement regardless of work location.

Impact You'll Make

As a Sr. Data Solutions Engineer on our Enterprise Data Management Team, you'll shape how BECU turns data into action. You'll partner with internal teams and vendors to develop scalable BI solutions that impact member service, support smarter decisions, and unlock insights.

This role involves streamlining ETL pipelines, optimizing dashboards, and data models. You'll work with tools like Snowflake, Azure, Python, and Tableau, helping others understand the potential of data.

What You'll Do

• Lead BI Platform Strategy: Champion upgrades, enhancements, and long-term planning for BECU's BI tools.
• Build & Maintain Data Models: Design scalable data models to empower teams and insights.
• Partner Across Teams: Collaborate with ETL Developers, Data Architects, and Business Analysts.
• Own Vendor Relationships: Manage external vendor relationships and deliverables.
• Deliver BI Automation: Use tools like Orchestrator and Tableau to automate and improve efficiency.
• Provide Hands-On Support: Support internal users with troubleshooting and tool enablement.
• Monitor BI Impact: Track platform usage, gather feedback, and identify growth areas.
• Communicate with Confidence: Share best practices and updates with all levels.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 7 years in IT Database roles, including 5 in BI deployment/support
• Experience defining and executing BI strategies
• Hands-on with BI automation and visualization tools like Tableau and Orchestrator
• Ability to articulate architecture vision to executives

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Alteryx
• Knowledge of data governance and enterprise BI environments
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and integrations
