About the Director of AI Engineering - Transform Review
This role leads a team responsible for flagship AI products such as Review Center, aiR for Review, and aiR for Privilege. The director will unify architecture and organization, driving innovation and ensuring our AI solutions align with our principles and mission.
The leader will collaborate with product management, engineering, data science, and other AI teams to accelerate AI innovation, prioritize investments, and foster a culture of learning and innovation within a global team of over 50 engineers and product leaders.
**Job Description and Requirements**
**Responsibilities:**
- Represent Relativity's AI strategy and key product efforts for the flagship aiR products.
- Own key features and technology functions within the AI strategy, evolving with team growth.
- Engage with industry conferences, events, and customer interactions.
- Build and lead a cross-functional AI team through outreach and partnerships.
- Lead initiatives with clear prioritization, resource allocation, and effective communication.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to scale solutions.
- Prioritize technical investments, tech debt, and architecture upgrades.
- Mentor team members to foster career growth and innovation.
- Inspire with a compelling vision for AI's role at Relativity.
- Advise leadership on innovative technologies and potential partnerships or acquisitions.
- Promote innovation, data curiosity, and scalable data practices.
- Develop practices for onboarding and skill development across offices.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in leadership roles in AI/ML development.
- Experience building and scaling AI products, especially generative AI.
- Proficiency in leveraging data for knowledge retrieval, search, and ML/AI solutions in production.
- Proven ability to lead software teams and drive transformation strategies.
- Experience with product and vendor selection, and strong communication skills.
- Conceptual knowledge of data science project lifecycles and data quality management.
- Experience operating in cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with modern programming languages and cloud compute environments.
- Background in SaaS/Cloud systems with distributed teams.
- Experience launching and growing new products in dynamic industries.
- Knowledge of machine learning, statistics, Generative AI, and APIs.
- Experience building customer-centric SaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with big data infrastructure and cloud-native data science tools.
- Leadership experience with geographically distributed teams.
Relativity offers competitive compensation, including base salary, bonuses, and incentives. The salary range for this role is $195,000 to $293,000, depending on experience and qualifications, with room for growth.
