Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer (Idaho)
Job Description
A rapidly growing Geotechnical and Material Testing firm is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team. The candidate should have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, be a licensed EIT, and be on track to obtain their professional engineering license in Idaho within six months. The role involves working with test and bore pits and generating geotechnical reports.
Responsibilities
Prepare geotechnical proposals and associated fee estimates.
Perform and direct subsurface exploration using drilling and test pit methodologies.
Evaluate ground conditions and understand their impact on design and construction.
Conduct geotechnical design and analysis, including shallow and deep foundation design, retaining wall design, MSE wall designs, slope stability analysis, liquefaction analysis, settlement analysis, and seismic assessments.
Prepare geotechnical engineering evaluations and reports.
Lead and mentor junior engineering staff.
Lead business development and marketing efforts.
Essential Skills
Geotechnical engineering expertise.
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis.
Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE licensure within six months.
Experience in designing geotechnical structures.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience in concrete and material testing.
Geotechnical investigation and soil testing knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering or related field.
Project management experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience dealing with clients and developing new business.
Experience leading and developing junior engineering staff.
Familiarity with Lpile, Slide, or similar software.

Located at the Meridian office, the role offers a professional office setup. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr.
