Business Transformation Director

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Transformation Director is responsible for leading an effective labor management culture throughout the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Operational leader for the implementation, education, and ongoing maintenance and improvements to UKG's Virtual Roster module
  • Partner with operators to develop and maintain appropriate metrics and standards for each position at the property and ensure accuracy and relevancy of said metrics
  • Prepare thoughtful and timely analysis of labor management techniques, including establishing performance metrics, scheduling, deployment, and appropriate staffing levels
  • Responsible for leading operators through workforce planning for the annual budget and monthly forecast exercises and compiling final projections and recommendations in partnership with the Director, FP&A and Chief Strategy Officer
  • Maintain a robust enterprise-wide reporting package which tracks forecast accuracy, analyzes business trends, and evaluates departmental performance
  • Serve as a non-voting member and liaison to the Compensation Committee, providing the committee with analysis of financial and operational impacts of agenda items and relevant input as needed
  • Lead labor analysis of new business initiatives as they arise, evaluating potential improvements to processes, procedures, and practices which maximize revenue, provide service enhancements to guests, and/or reduce redundant or unnecessary work
  • Serve as liaison to the Executive Team by providing regular updates on labor management performance and providing ad-hoc analysis and presentation to the team as requested
  • Analyze and identify improvement opportunities then implement process mapping and solutions within departments
  • Lead automation workstreams in support areas and create efficiencies where tasks are currently manual
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor management and effectiveness experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Advanced understanding of best practices, industry trends, gaming terminology, and emerging technologies in the labor management space
  • Strong operational knowledge within the Hospitality and/or Gaming industry
  • Strong project management experience and process improvement
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position oversees the Labor Analyst team.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
