IT Engineer II or III - HCO Delivery

Description:

We're seeking an IT Engineer to engineer, develop, and update data integrations between a heavily used, dynamic and integrated hosted health management software solution with disparate data sources, both on-premise and cloud-based. Integration methodologies include traditional batch files, XML, and API integrations. This position implements automated system controls, and protocols to solve organization information issues related to Healthcare Operations and Customer Clinical Solutions. Serving as a domain expert, you'll also work with internal architects when large scale corporate solutions are being designed that impact/include the Health Care Operations space.

The position has flexibility to be based in hybrid work location and/or work fully remote within a mutually acceptable location. #LI-Remote; #LI-Hybrid

Education must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, related field of study, or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one year college)
  • International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader +2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study, + 2 years additional experience
Position requires minimum 2-4/+ years engineering experience that spans:
  • Programming skills in C#/.Net, Java, etc.
  • MS T-SQL and SSIS development skills
  • Interacting with service APIs, particularly REST/JSON APIs
  • AWS Snowflake/StreamLit
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016
  • Test Case Execution and Documentation
  • Working on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently to deliver quality work and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience/Knowledge:
  • Experience with complex, highly integrated SAAS systems
  • Ansi-SQL, SnowSQL, Presto SQL, and/or PostgreSQL
  • Typescript, and Python. Jest and Python test frameworks like Testify, Robot, PyUnit, Behave, pytest, etc.
  • Functional knowledge of S3, ECS/Fargate
  • Functional knowledge of FHIR
  • AWS integration services such as Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, IAM, and Transfer Services
  • AWS CDK and CloudFormation
  • AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeArtifact
  • GraphQL
  • Health Insurance industry knowledge, ideally with familiarity of health plan medical and case management processes
  • Agile/SAFe framework
  • Jiva knowledge as an analyst/engineer, including Sentinel Rules Engine (SRE) configuration
  • Facets experience
Your day may look like:
  • Works closely with key team members, business partners, project managers, end users, etc. to understand the business and technical needs behind an integration solution. Actively participate in project, team and architectural meetings
  • Develops and implements integrated data solutions
  • Solve/debug reported software/data integration issues
  • Partners with IT Analysts testing integrated data solutions prior to deployment
  • Configures automated workflows in Sentinel Rules Engine (SRE)
  • Discusses and defines system issues/solutions with external vendor(s)
  • Maintains code repository of integrations and integration changes
  • Evaluates the impact of changes to IT Systems and/or IT Infrastructure
  • Aligns system capabilities with corporate strategy


As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for is: $94,066 - $173,846 (Engineer II and/or III). The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance). The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
