Job Summary/Basic Function:
This junior level position provides occupational safety and health consultation services to private employers throughout Idaho. Through inspection of workplaces, identification of hazards, development of safety and health programs and issuance of reports to clients on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, the consultant assists those clients in protection of their employees and avoidance of enforcement actions by the federal compliance agency.
This role requires a valid Idaho driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for local work-related travel.
Level Scope:
Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self development.
