Selectek is partnering with a firm in Boise, Idaho  to hire a high-level Mechanical Designer  to work remotely on a contract-to-direct hire basis. Candidates will design and oversee piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet.Expected Pay Range: $55-$72/hour depending on experience and certificationLocation: Remote, quarterly travel to Boise, IDSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00pJob Duties: Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.Primary duties include the following:You will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.As the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team, your primary duty will be to review design packages consisting of P&IDs, layout drawings, details, and equipment plans followed by review of submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited UniversitySeven (7) or more years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systemsSkills needed to be successful are:Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsAn understanding of design project delivery processes, with 5 years of experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experienceTwo (2) or more years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanroomsProficient working knowledge of AutoCAD softwareIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.To be considered for this position, apply via the link, or if email is more convenient, send an up-to-date resume to  ...@selectek.net and reference this job posting.
